Coffee, lunch in a private villa and traditional Mauritian food.

After a lovely buffet breakfast at Anahita we were picked up and taken to Lux Belle Mare.

The lobby had a welcoming coffee shop called Cafe Lux we were shown behind the scenes where the coffee beans are roasted and prepared for the resort.

The resort has a fantastic all inclusive product including photo workshops, amazing kids clubs from the age of 3-17 offering lots of great activities. Also there was a red phone box to call home and the resort has a ‘message in a bottle’ concept where they are hidden around the resort for guests to find with unexpected prizes inside!

The Lux Belle Mare also had different food stalls so if you didn’t fancy too much for lunch you could have hotdogs and nachos. It also had a great area called ICI which had lots of different lollies and ice creams again included in the all inclusive.

Next up was The Residence. Located on the east coast of the island my first impression was it is a very grand hotel on a lovely beach. It was very peaceful and had a laid back atmosphere.

After The Residence we were taken to Constance Belle Mare Plage. Set on 2km of white sandy beach this hotel had 7 restaurants and 6 bars my favourite being the Blu bar which is attached to the Indigo restaurant it had floating lounges which would be great to sample a cocktail before dinner.

On our site inspection we were shown the villas which had all the luxury you would need for a truly wonderful holiday. We were then surprised to find out we would be having lunch there BBQ style next to the private pool overlooking the beautiful beach. The lovely ladies at the spa gave us all neck and shoulder massages to give us a little taste of what the guests can enjoy.

After a quick walk round the spa we were back on the mini bus and off to our hotel for the night – The Ravenala Attitude.

Once we had checked in we were given a short talk on all the Attitude properties on Mauritius they have a property on the island that suits all budgets and tastes.

We met for pre dinner drinks by the pool then taken to our table at Kot Nou this had a traditional menu and the food was very tasty.

After a cocktail at the pool bar some of us went onto the nightclub where the dj kept us entertained with some old and new tunes. My new travelling companions got to see some of my best dance moves mostly because of the fantastic Mauritius rum.
